  The food is fine dining, the atmosphere is home casual. The owners ARE the chefs, and they do all the cooking, so wait times can be slow depending on how packed the place is. I went on a slow night and service took about 30-45 minutes, but we had wine, bread, and it was cozy and relaxed. The food was excellent, and the people (Leslie and our waitress) were very professional and went out of their way to make it a fine dining experience. I highly recommend, but NOT if you are in a hurry. Leslie's requires a free hour or two to really enjoy.

  Most Importantly: I felt welcomed by and comfortable with EVERY staff member I came in contact with. Our waitress aside (who was remarkable), three other staff members conversed with my girlfriend and myself - none of whom had any part in our 'service' - just the excellent experience. This is HUGE. It's one thing to enjoy the food (which was one-of-a-kind, by the way)... but it's an entirely different consideration to be able to feel the positive energy coming your way from every person you come in contact with.

  We went out for our our 21st anniversary and invited our son to join us as he was home from college. Our reservation was for 7:30 but we were not served dinner until AFTER 9! First a very unenthusiastic employee said we could wait in the bar. O.K., that means you can spend a little time over a drink, right? NO. No drinks were served, no one even came in to ask us if we wanted one!
  Finally we got a table, ordered drinks & appetizer & soup. Those things came within 10 to 15 min. and the waitress took our orders. Then we sat, and watched other people eating, finishing, and leaving, still no food. Brief apology from waitress, then extremely long wait. Mushroom soup was great, dinners good but it certainly was not the Happy Anniversary I expected!!
  Bill was very high and owner never offered to take anything off, and staff was distant.
